8 th ULAB Fair Play Cup Inter-University Cricket Tournament to begin on 22 nd of January

With a press conference at the Bangladesh Olympic Association, the University of Liberal Arts (ULAB) announced the commencement of the 8 th ULAB Fair Play Cup Inter-University Cricket Tournament which is to be held from the 22 nd to the 11 th of February, 2015. Professor Imran Rahman, the Honorable Vice Chancellor of ULAB along with Rakibul Hasan, former
Captain of the Bangladesh Cricket team and the adviser to the tournament spoke on the occasion.

The Vice Chancellor said that they are organizing this event for the 8 th time in a row. Such a tournament is only for the well nourishment and growth of today’s youth’s mind and health, he added. Rakibul Hasan said that ULAB certainly deserves great appreciation as the university is organizing the event in such a consistent manner for the 8 th time where 16 universities are participating. He also said that such an event will certainly add a new dimension to the vibrant cricket crazy community in Bangladesh.

The whole tournament is comprised of 32 matches which will be held in T20 format. The 16 teams
represented by 16 universities have been divided into four groups and the Champion and the runner-up in each group will get the chance to play in the super eight stage.
The semi-finals are to be held on the 8 th and 9 th of February which is to be followed by the finals on the 11 th of February. The winning team will get a cash prize of forty thousand taka and the runners up with an amount of 25 thousand.

BRACU, NSU, IUB, EWU, NU, UIU, SUB, MIU, UAP, SEU, EU, GUB, PUC, UITS, EUB and the hosts ULAB are the participants of the tournament.

The work offer began without any prior discussion or whatsoever. I called up Kashfia, my dear from IUB with whom I have taken multiple courses and held group presentations.
